Writer terms

These terms are for people who write synopses for Twine Club. They are written to be read. If anything is unclear, email hello@twine.club.

Who runs Twine Club

Twine Club is run by Jeeve Singh, who is also the person accountable for keeping the site safe and for handling reports and complaints. Contact: hello@twine.club.

Who can write

You must be 18 or over to write for Twine Club. You confirm this when you accept these terms, and we record that you did.

Your synopsis

You keep the copyright in what you write. You give Twine Club a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, adapt and edit your synopsis, and to remove it.

If you delete your account, synopses that are already live can stay up. They then appear under the name "Former writer", with nothing that identifies you.

Edits and moral rights

The editor may edit your synopsis for length, house style or spoilers. You waive your moral rights to object to edits made for those reasons. This does not stop you objecting to any other change.

Your promises

How moderation works

Nothing goes live without the editor. The editor may approve, edit, send back or pull any synopsis at any time, including after it has gone live.

Reporting and complaints

Use the Report link on any revealed synopsis, or email hello@twine.club. We review reports of illegal content within 24 hours and answer other complaints within 7 days. If you disagree with a decision, including the removal of a synopsis or an account, send an appeal to the same address and a fresh look will be taken.

Closing accounts

We may close an account that breaks these terms, or that belongs to a proscribed organisation. You can close your own account at any time with "Delete my account" on the writer page.

Changes to these terms

If the terms change, the version number changes and you will be asked to accept the new version before you send another synopsis.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
